At first, we were slightly intimidated by Neil’s luxury-brand reputation – we knew our purchase wouldn’t be anywhere near the multi-million dollar homes he’s known to buy or sell. The Bacchus Group by far exceeded my expectations! I was probably (definitely) one of the most difficult buyers- super picky with a million and ten questions. Plus, I wanted an old historic house with modern updates and no work needing to be done, walking distance to nature and shops, in my price range, with a yard- so basically, the impossible. Laura found it! Laura ALWAYS answered my calls, researched and answered all my questions- and everything was done with a smile (and of course, her fun loving, Southern sass!) She was always ready with a reassuring attitude and a helpful hand whenever I got overwhelmed with balancing work-life and trying to buy a new house/move. She never put any pressure on me even though I wanted to see what felt like every single house listed for sale in the Alexandria area. I actually haven't ever hired Neil, but my family has. My brother used him when he bought his first house, and must have been very pleased because he used him again to sell that house, buy the next one and recommended him to my parents. So Neil worked with him as a young first time home owner. My parents have lived in their house for almost 50 years, and in their 80's just put it on the market. It is a wonderful house, but not updated. Rather than focusing on the "not updated" part of the house, Neil focused with them and in the ads on all of its wonderful features. He made reasonable decisions about what to fix and what not to fix and helped them find the people to get the fixing done. When workers needed to be negotiated with, he helped with that. The end result -- they sold the house in less than a month, got a price they are pleased with, and felt that their house was well-loved. A perfect outcome. Pablo is patient, really good at communication, paying attention to what I want, looking for properties that meet my needs. He knows the area, and good at what he is doing. For my transaction, he spent a lot of time with sellers, since there are four of them. He did a great job negotiating with them and helped me to win credits at closing (which helped me a lot). He is trustworthy, and detail-oriented. I only reviewed my first offer once, and noticed he is careful when handling those documents, later on, I only need to sign everything. I used the Bacchus Group for the first time 3 years ago when I asked Laura Bacchus to manage my house in Potomac. My husband had a posting overseas and we wanted to rent our house and have someone manage it. After trying to sell my house on my own for over three months, I finally decided to talk to some agents. I appreciated how Pablo stayed in contact from the beginning and would check in with me to see how progress was. He always seemed to provide valuable information and even suggestions as to what things to do or avoid. After about three months, I was frustrated with the process and decided to interview some agents. I interviewed four total and of course included Pablo. Other agents were very professional and were prepared for the most part but I decided to give Pablo a chance for the following reasons; First, he had provided free valuable information and even contacts of lenders, etc. from the beginning. Second, he remained humble and respectful throughout and was very persistent. I realized this was the way I wanted somebody to follow up with interested parties and sell my house! My wife and I have used Laura twice now in the last couple of years and I am beyond happy with the service she has provided. She first helped us find a tenant for my mother-in-law's basement rental. Due to various restrictions regarding this kind of property, Laura could not post our listing on the normal rental sites.
